Registered unemployment fell in August in the Canary Islands by 1,148 people (-0.6%) compared to the previous month, which leaves a total of 190,282 unemployed on the islands, according to data published this Friday by the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy, which show that the fall in annual rate is 18.7%, specifically 43,968 fewer people.
The Canary Islands are thus at the forefront in the decrease in registered unemployment in Spain and by province it fell by 686 people in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (-0.75%) and by 462 in Las Palmas (-0.46%). ).
