The southern Consistory has issued a statement advising against bathing in two beaches of Candelaria, Punta Larga and Los Guanches, after detecting microalgae in the water,
“From the Health area, the situation will be monitored and the evolution of these two enclaves will be communicated through official channels,” they indicate.
Also today they have banned bathing on the beaches of El Médano, La Tejita and Chinchorro by rain runoff.
In a statement, the local corporation indicates that it has been decided to close these zones bathroom “in order to guarantee adequate levels of safety for the population”.
All this while waiting for the results of the relevant counter-analyses that are being carried out by the Municipal Service.
As soon as the analytics are suitable for the bathroom, it will be reopened, the statement added.
