A man arrested for stealing two motorcycles in Las Américas and exchanging their license plates

Agents of the Civil Guard belonging to the Main Post of Playa de las Américas, in the south of Tenerife, have arrested a 30-year-old man, a resident of the municipality of Arona, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of theft of a motor vehicle and another forgery of public document.

The accused would have stolen two mopeds of different models that were parked on public roads, more specifically in the municipality of Arona, to later exchange their license plates, explains the Civil Guard.

The agents surprised the man while he was in a bar located in El Fraile to which he traveled on one of the stolen motorcycles that was parked outside the establishment with the license plate already exchanged.

Once the agents identified and detained him, the man voluntarily stated that he has the motorcycle to which that license plate that has been exchanged corresponded at his home.

Finally, he handed it over to the agents, whom he also informed that he had bought the two motorcycles from a stranger for 20 euros.

The detainee, along with the proceedings instructed, has been placed at the disposal of the Investigating Court of Guardia de Arona.
