SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 29 Aug. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife plans to conclude the waterproofing work on the roof of the Santiago Martín Pavilion, managed by the public company Ideco, in the first half of October.
This has been announced by the Island Councilor for Sports, Concepción Rivero, who highlights that this action, to which an investment of 315,062 euros is allocated, “will make it possible to improve one of the most important sports facilities in Tenerife”.
Rivero explains in a note that “the works are being made compatible with the usual activity of the pavilion, headquarters of the Lenovo Tenerife and Tenerife basketball teams, so that they do not interfere with their sports agendas or with the planned events.”
In addition, he continues, “additional security measures are applied that are considered appropriate to guarantee the protection of the entire space in which the work is carried out.”
At this time, the complete renovation of the sheet that covers the outside of the roof is being undertaken, starting with the north-west side and, in parallel, other improvements are being carried out, such as the electrical distribution that will feed the new motorized system of aluminum slats that will facilitate the darkening of the space and that it will be controlled from the inside.
