In order to provide preparation adapted to the demand of the local labor market, the Los Realejos City Council promotes a training plan that includes 13 courses. The mayor, Adolfo González, and the Councilor for Employment, Natalia Díaz, yesterday presented the new catalog for employability, aimed preferably at unemployed people in the municipality. Likewise, the Consistory establishes different bonuses for the unemployed and for people with disabilities. The courses will be taught from September to February 2023.
The set of courses offered will deal with masonry, electricity and painting (in all three cases, obtaining the Professional Card), dissemination of digital content through social networks, food safety (food handling and allergen control), basic digital skills (electronic administration, permanent key and digital certificate), forklift truck and warehouse attendant (two groups of practices), handling of phytosanitary products (basic level), advanced digital skills, sign language, accompanying monitor for school transport and school canteen monitor
“Our intention is to continue offering tools to improve the employability and preparation and professional skills of residents, especially those who are unemployed and who require that impulse, motivation and facilities from public administrations”, highlighted the mayor.
Natalia Díaz, Councilor for Employment, recalls that registration for each course will begin fifteen days before its start and invited those interested to contact the Local Development Agency, through the telephone number 010, or in person at the offices located on Calle El Medio Arriba, next to Plaza Viera and Clavijo de Realejo Alto.
