Tenerife Intercity Transport (titsa) has asked the Insular Directorate of Human Resources of the Cabildo to reduce the temporary employment of 331 workers, who would become indefinite.
In a statement, the Minister of Mobility and president of the entity, Enrique Arriagahas ensured that the company thus becomes the first in the public sector on the island to start a process of consolidating temporary employment into permanent employment, in compliance with Law 20/2021, and that it will mean the stabilization of 77 jobs.
Likewise, Titsa has requested the Insular Corporation to allow it to execute the accumulated replacement rates until 2022, which would mean the stabilization of another 254 employees of the insular public company.
Arriaga highlighted the speed of the transport company in starting this process, framed in the set of measures of the central government to consolidate temporary employment, which has the support of all union sections of Titsa. “This plan will allow, initially, an unprecedented number of conversions to permanent jobs in the island’s public sector,” he concluded.
