The Area of Highways and Mobility of the Council of Tenerife will focus over the next week on rehabilitation work on the TF-1 at the intersections of Playa de las Américas and San Eugenio.
The work, which will not affect the main road, will be carried out at night, as usual, between Sunday, August 28 and the morning of Friday, September 2as reported by the insular Corporation in a press release.
The Vice President and Island Councilor for Highways, Enrique Arriaga, has indicated that the work has already entered its final stretch, with 90% of the work carried out.
“The rehabilitation of the main road, of the trunk of the motorway, has already been completed and the only thing left to do is to complete the signage. Right now, the activity is focused on four junctions, with which we will end this action,” he explained.
For its part, the works, carried out by the company Sacyr, will be carried out between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., due to the lower influx of traffic that exists in this time slot, in order to minimize inconvenience to drivers.
Work on the Playa de las Américas junction (73) will run from Sunday to Wednesday, while those affecting the San Eugenio exit will start on Thursday. During these nights, the necessary detours will be enabled and signaled to guarantee circulation.
From this Sunday and until Wednesday the 31st, vehicles traveling towards Adeje and wishing to access Playa de las Américas will be able to use the San Eugenio link (74).
Those who, on the other hand, wish to go to Adeje from this point should leave for Santa Cruz de Tenerife to make a U-turn at Arona/Los Cristianos (72).
This maneuver must also be carried out by drivers who, in the direction of the capital, intend to access the nuclei adjacent to junction 73, accessing them through exit 74.
In addition, during these days, those people who want to travel to the capital of Tenerife from the Siam Mall Shopping Center should go to Adeje to link 76 to make the change of direction there.
Finally, on Thursday the rehabilitation work on the San Eugenio junction (74) will begin, so vehicles wishing to access this area must use the Costa Adeje/Torviscas/Playa Fañabé junction (76).
