The spokeswoman for the Popular Party (PP) in the Cabildo de Tenerife, Zaida González, recently traveled to El Tanque, where she visited the TF-421 highway, which connects this municipality with Garachico.
González was accompanied by the president of the PP manager in El Tanque, Jesús Fariña, and its treasurer, Martín Alejandro Morales, who demand “an urgent action to improve this highway, which is one of the main connection routes between the Low Island.
It was Jesús Fariña who recalled that his party “has been demanding for more than 20 years that a rehabilitation be carried out on this road, which supports a large amount of traffic daily, and which does not have the necessary elements to guarantee traffic safety in the same”.
The spokeswoman in the Cabildo announced that her political formation will take this issue to the debate of the insular institution, “because it affects a large number of neighbors and users of this road, which is in unfortunate conditions, without the insular Corporation being put a definitive solution to what is already a historical claim of the municipality of El Tanque.
Finally, Zaida González also made it clear that the popular “will continue to insist on the need to act, immediately and efficiently, on the communication channels of the Isla Baja with the rest of the municipalities of Tenerife, since this has been a region historically abandoned by the Cabildo, where the necessary investments for its progress and development have not been made”.
