SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 27 Aug. (EUROPA PRESS) –
A total of four people have been affected by smoke inhalation poisoning, one of them also with serious burns, during a fire that took place around 01:50 this Saturday on the second floor of a building on Calle Mequinez de Port of the Cross (Tenerife).
As reported by the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (Cecoes) 112, Tenerife Firefighters took charge of extinguishing the flames that affected that plant and spread to the upper floors.
For its part, the Canary Emergency Service (SUC), together with a doctor and a nurse from the area health center, treated those affected, including a 60-year-old man who suffered burns to his upper limbs and inhalation poisoning. smoke of a serious nature, for which he was transferred in a medicalized ambulance to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands.
In addition, a 45-year-old man had mild smoke inhalation poisoning and was transferred by basic life support ambulance to Hospiten Bellevue; while a 66-year-old man and a 72-year-old woman also presented mild smoke inhalation poisoning, although they refused to be transferred to a health center.
For their part, agents of the Local Police and the National Services Police took charge of the corresponding proceedings.
Finally, from the local police force it has been indicated that the neighbors will not be able to return to their homes until the building is valued by the municipal urban planning service.
