The Municipality of La Orotavain collaboration with the Brotherhood of Santa Vera Cruz y Misericordia, has launched the “Sowing the future” campaign to help the families with fewer resources to assume the costs of the new school year 2022-2023.

In this way, the initiative looks for people who sponsor a boy or girl between 4 and 14 years old, contributing to these people taking charge of the price of school supplies.

To participate in this project, interested persons must send an email to the Brotherhood, after which they will receive the list of elements that the student will need for this school year, always maintaining their anonymity, and registrations can be made until the next 15th of September.

Once the campaign is over, a delegation from the brotherhood will deliver all the material to the Social Welfare area of the City Council for distribution among low-income families.

Likewise, from the Orotavense consistory they have specified that other ways of collaborating are by contributing some of the items requested through the lists that will be located in the collaborating establishments of the campaign: El Aula Bookstore, Gonzalina Stationery and Education Bookstore.
