The Forest fire declared this Wednesday in the area of Camino Guillén, in the neighborhood of El Ortigal (La Laguna), and that it has moved to La Esperanza, in the municipality of El Rosario, is already stabilizedas confirmed by the Council of Tenerife.
The fire has affected an area of 20 hectares of brambles, ferns, heather and lard. Likewise, the people who had been preventively evicted from their homes, some 25, can now return to their homes.
The main fear in the last hour was that the flames would exceed the Agua García highway, the TF-226, entering a wooded area with dense vegetation, an extreme that the extinguishing means deployed in the place have been able to avoid.
Teams from the Tenerife Forestry Brigades, six aerial means, Tenerife Firefighters and Local Police participate in the extinction work, details the Island Council.
