SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 24 Aug. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The General Directorate of Security and Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands has ended this Wednesday the alert for the risk of forest fires on the islands of Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera, El Hierro and Gran Canaria in application of the Infoca (Special Plan
of Civil Protection and Attention of Emergencies for Forest Fires of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands).
However, the pre-alert situation due to the risk of forest fires remains in force and in the specific case of the Los Campeches area, in Tenerife, the area remains at emergency level 1 as a result of the fire that started at the end of July, they specify from the Regional Executive.
