The Punta del Hidalgo campsite has an average occupancy rate of 88% this month

The Punta del Hidalgo campsite, in La Laguna, has reached the halfway point of summer with an average occupancy of 88%, which translates into 348 users staying so far this month of August.
Since the reopening of the service, on June 17, until now, due to the arrival of the summer period, there has been a growing influx, especially this month, which, according to the mayor, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, “is helping to revitalize the area.

The local councilor celebrates the data achieved so far because they reflect that it is a “very attractive alternative for citizens, who decide to enjoy their holidays in this part of the coast with unique natural and landscape values”. In addition, he recalls that this site is currently “one of the few places that exist in Tenerife enabled for caravans and motorhomes” and stresses that “from the City Council we want to continue improving it.”

Along the same lines, the Councilor for Municipal Services, Josimar Hernández, reports that to the “conditioning and improvement work already carried out, carried out during the months of closure due to the pandemic, new investments will be added in the short and medium term so that the population can enjoy quality facilities at an affordable price, thereby promoting more sustainable tourism”.
The campsite is located 20 meters from one of the bathing areas of Punta del Hidalgo and covers an area of ​​24,000 square meters, with an approximate capacity of 312 people and a total of 78 pitches (15 for tents and 63 for caravans). , motorhomes and sheds).

The venue registered 60% occupancy between June 17 and 30 (308 users), while in July that percentage grew to 85%. So far in August, the facilities have reached 88% occupancy, with 348 people and 2,860 overnight stays.

Opening from September

According to the opening calendar for 2022, the campsite will remain open continuously until September 18. From that date, it will open on weekends from September 30 to October 2, from October 7 to 9, from 14 to 16 and from 21 to 23 of the same month. It will also be in service from December 2 to 11, from January 16 to 18 and from January 30 to 1.
