Tacoronte advances in the process that will stabilize the situation of temporary personnel. It is the conclusion reached by the labor representation of the staff. The General Negotiation Table of the Tacoronte City Council, chaired by the mayor, José Daniel Díaz, and made up of the trade union organizations CSIF-Canarias, CC OO and Intersindical Canarias, together with the corresponding representation of the local Corporation, approved the criteria that constitute the general bases that will govern the announcements of the selective processes. The aim is to apply the provisions of Law 20/20021, of December 28, on urgent measures to reduce temporary employment in the public sector.
The CSIF-Canarias union highlights “the great work and professionalism carried out by the members of the Company Committee and the Personnel Board of the City Council of Tacoronte». Along these lines, he maintains that “a screening was formalized that, in principle, allowed conform the extraordinary offer of stabilization of these places and in this phase it has made it easier for us to close this joint agreement and signed with your local Administration».
At the same level, this union representation highlights “the interest shown by the Local Corporation to reach these agreements”, an aspect that the CSIF admits “was made clear from the beginning of the negotiation”. In fact, the tacorontero alderman presided over each and every one of the sessions of the work tables, “without interfering with them and providing all the necessary information for them to materialize in the outlined agreements,” the union adds.
The agreement reached makes it possible to “give a real response to the continued abuse in temporary hiringas an abnormal system for the coverage of certain structural places that has been established in the public sector to develop and provide its own public services, ”explains the CSIF-Canarias.
The use and abuse, where appropriate, of temporary hiring “have reached very high and unsustainable quotas». The new regulatory framework opened by Law 20/2021, of December 28, aims to provide a response to both the use and abuse of this abnormal figure of contractual relationship, exposes the union. The legislation sets as objectives, on the one hand, the obligation of the administrations to reduce the temporary rate, but, at the same time, “staff in temporary abuse are recognized their right to stabilize their relationship with the administration and their right to consolidate his job. The CSIF concludes by stating that they are “objectives that have been achieved in the general bases that were approved and signed on August 4 at the Tacoronte City Council.”
