Alexia Izquierdo Bello was elected Queen of the Victoria August Festivities, during a gala full of emotion, she competed for the title among five other candidates who paraded in bathing suits and evening gowns. In addition, among the six candidates for Mister, the jury chose the young Aday Florentín Rodríguez.

The gala, which was directed by Alexis Santana, took place in the well-known Parque El Pinar, which completely filled its capacity. In fact, the tickets for the event were sold out one day before the celebration. It is one of the most anticipated and emotional galas of the festivities due to the expectation generated among the neighbors by the election of the Queen and the Mister of the festivities, this year with more reason after two years of absence.

In addition to the parades of the candidates, the winner of the television contest La Voz Kids of 2019, Irene Gil, the well-known national pop group Effect Butterfly who offered a repertoire of their best-known songs and the Canarian humorist, Kike, performed at the gala. Pérez who made the public vibrate with his latest comedy show, in addition to the ballet La Vica.

El Pinar Park, as is traditional, was the place chosen for the celebration of this long-awaited event, which was attended by more than 1,200 people from a dedicated public, not only for the parades of the candidates but also for the performances of the guest artists. to the gala

This Sunday the party continues with activities throughout the day dedicated to the family. Next Thursday, August 25, the El Pinar Park will host the celebration of the 39th anniversary of the folk group Añate, with the show Tambores por La Palma. And on Friday, August 26, starting at 8:30 p.m. in Plaza Rodríguez Gala, the Celebration and Coronation Gala of the Romera Mayor will take place.
