Outrage in Anaga because correspondence arrives late and wrong

“I don’t know what the portfolio is doing because I haven’t received any correspondence for two months,” lamented one of the residents of Afur, while another resident of Black Rock ensures that in recent times the electricity bill arrives on the 18th or 20th of the month and on the 22nd he receives the cut-off communication. The last straw was that of a Roque Negro neighbor who received five bills at the same time from the electricity company, which they attribute to a problem in the distribution of correspondence.

Spokespersons from five associations in the interior of Anaga express their outrage because for some months the letters have arrived late and badly. «In many cases they are communications of the electrical supply, although there are those who assure that it is also about the contribution. Who pays us now for the economic damage that the delay in payments has caused us?”, the neighbors ask.

Members of the associations of El Til, Casas de la Cumbre; as well as Nube Gris, by Roque Negro; Together with those of Catalanes and Afur, plus the Quinteto de Anaga collective, they assure that the problem with the distribution of Correos correspondence has intensified in the last two months. “What I don’t know is why they changed the postman who attended this area to put another person.”

From the Correos company, a spokesman does not know if there has been a change in the worker who attends this area in recent months. “The problem is located in these four hamlets of Anaga, since the Taborno area depends on the postman who arrives from La Laguna.”

One of the neighbors assures that “days ago I had a disagreement with the wallet because I told her that the mail was not arriving and she lamented, as if she did not have to walk so far to deliver the delivery to the same door.” Others of the residents of Roque Negro show their concern because the letters they expected have not arrived at their house and that they have to do directly with communications of electricity and electricity services and yet they do have correspondence in the name of other neighbors that they do not even know . “I am worried because for me to understand my letters, they are surely messed up around there,” she warns.

The concern about the deterioration in the quality of the Post Office service in the villages of Afur, Roque Negro, Catalanes and Casas de la Cumbre is shared by the residents of the area, to the point that yesterday they agreed to address the presidents of their associations of neighbors to request that they manage with the councilor of the district of Anaga, Inmaculada Fuentes, their concern about the poor service. “Who is going to repair the damage that it can cause us because the communication does not reach us in time to pay?”. They have already requested a meeting with Correos.
