The mayor of Arico, Sebastián Martín, indicated that “after not being able to take place the previous year due to the restrictions of the pandemic, this year all the ariqueros will enjoy the IV Pilgrimage that will pass through each of our neighborhoods in the municipality, coinciding, also, with the 300 years of the apparition of Our Lady of Abona”. Likewise, the councilor encouraged “everyone to attend the Pilgrimage that will be held continuously until September 6.”
The Councilor for Culture and Festivities, Dácil Cano, remarked that “this Pilgrimage is included in an attractive program of Lustral Festivities with different cultural and religious functions, the Descent and the Ascent of the Virgin, among others.”
