The Canarias coexists initiative deepens integration and diversity as factors of progress in the Archipelago. In that line, gives anti-rumour training on the 22nd, 23rd and 29th (from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.) in the San Telmo room of the Costa Martiánez Tourist Complex, as well as online on August 30 and September 12.
The Ministry of Social Rights, Equality, Diversity and Youth of the Government of the Canary Islands and the Foundation of the University of La Laguna promote this initiative through an agreement.
The objective is to acquire basic notions about racism and forms of discrimination; reflect on discrimination and its presence in the daily sphere of people; recognize the propagating elements of racism and other forms of discrimination; as well as design actions to deal with discriminatory practices, from the different social agents and the administration. Likewise, a methodology based on autonomous learning will be developed through participatory dynamics.
