The Roads area of the Cabildo de Tenerife continues, over the next week, with the improvement of the Autopista del Sur (TF-1). On this occasion, the work will focus on the Valle San Lorenzo-Guaza-Las Galletas links (69), Los Cristianos (72), Playa de Las Américas (73) and Costa Adeje-Torviscas-Playa Fañabé (76). Actions that cover the route passing through Arona and, partially, through Adeje.
The Minister of Highways, Enrique Arriaga, explains that the works are part of the rehabilitation plan for this highway that has been carried out since April last year and that includes the improvement of nearly 40 kilometers of the road between Adeje and Arico. The works, carried out by the company Sacyr, will be carried out at night, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., for which several detours will be enabled to guarantee the safety of drivers passing through these areas.
During Monday night, the works will affect the Valle San Lorenzo-Guaza-Las Galletas (69) and Costa Adeje-Torviscas-Playa Fañabé (76) connections. For this reason, vehicles wishing to travel in the direction of Santa Cruz de Tenerife from Valle San Lorenzo, Guaza or Las Galletas must join the Autopista del Sur towards Adeje, until the Los Cristianos junction (72), to make a change of direction. . To access these nuclei from the capital, you can use the exit to Las Galletas (TF-66) of the San Lorenzo-Guaza-Las Galletas junction (69). Likewise, those vehicles that wish to access any of the towns near the Costa Adeje-Torviscas-Playa Fañabé junction (76) or that intend to access the TF-1 from these areas, may use it.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the works on junction 76, which will continue throughout the week, will be joined by work on the service road that connects the Los Cristianos (72) and Playa de Las Américas (73) junctions. Thus, during these two nights, vehicles that want to circulate from Arona to Adeje will be able to leave for Santa Cruz de Tenerife and make the U-turn at the Valle San Lorenzo-Guaza-Las Galletas junction.
Lastly, on Thursday the Playa de Las Américas junction (73) will be affected, so those drivers who wish to access that town will be able to do so through the San Eugenio junction (74). Likewise, those who from this point must go towards Adeje, can leave towards Los Cristianos and change direction. Those who go to the capital from the Siam Mall Shopping Center can join the road through the Costa Adeje-Torviscas-Playa Fañabé link (76).
The execution period for the works is 14 months, so the works on the Autopista del Sur should be nearing completion.
