SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 10 Aug. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Agents of the Civil Guard belonging to the @ Team in La Palma, in collaboration with the @ Team of Playa de las Américas, have instructed proceedings in which they investigate the caretaker of an elderly person for telematically defrauding her by making purchases of more than 600 euros
The criminal acts date back to May 2021, when the complainant/injured person appeared at the police station of the Civil Guard of Los Llanos de Aridane and told the agents that they had recently made several charges on her credit card for an amount of 620.68 euros in the name of two well-known applications/websites for the sale of products in general.
According to the aforementioned complaint, the agents of the Civil Guard of the Team @ on the island of La Palma began an investigation to clarify the alleged crime, discovering that the now investigated, a 61-year-old woman from Arona, worked as a caregiver the complainant, with whom she currently resided in a house on the island of Tenerife when the victim recently underwent surgery, as well as being evacuated by the volcano.
For this reason, the collaboration of the @ Team of the Americas was requested, which located, identified and investigated the now accused as the alleged author of a crime of telematic fraud. The proceedings instructed were sent to the Court of First Instance and Instruction No. 1 of the town of Los Llanos de Aridane acting as a Guard.
