The Local Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife participates in the control campaign promoted by the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) that has the objective of avoiding traffic accidents caused by drivers whose capacities are impaired by the consumption of alcohol and drugs.
Thus, the municipal body has confirmed in Twitter that this week there will be controls on different roads and schedules throughout the capital city.
In these devices, the documentation of drivers and vehicles is verified and controls of alcohol and narcotic substances are carried out, to prevent risky behavior behind the wheel.
In the same way, within the framework of this campaign, statistics are drawn up on the infractions detected and, subsequently, they will be sent to the DGT.
