A resident of the neighborhood of La Gallega, in Santa Cruz of Tenerife, has denounced through social networks that there are streetlights on in the area since 10:00 in the morning. The image is striking, above all, because just a few days ago the Government asked citizens and institutions to make an effort to comply with the energy savings that Russia’s war in Ukraine is forcing.
As he points out, the reason why they are on is unknown, but “I want to think that it is some lighting test or some fault in the area, because if not, it does not seem acceptable to us.”
Specifically, the image that illustrates your complaint has been taken today on La Lisa street in La Gallega.
Lampposts lit during the day in La Gallega in a context of energy saving
This news comes just after the Government of Spain approved just a few days ago energy saving measures that involve turning off the lights in shop windows at night or setting the air conditioning in shops to a maximum of 27 degrees.
