The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the Foundation for Training, Employment and Business Development (Fifede), has opened the deadline to select the ten participants who will attend, representing Spain, an international meeting of cultural exchange and organized astrotourism on the island of Bali, in Indonesia, for the beginning of November.
Under the name of STARS: Empowerment and Creation of New Job Opportunities, this initiative is co-financed by the Erasmus+ program of the European Commission and it is intended to support the professional development of workers in the field of tourism.
Candidates must reside in Tenerife, be between 18 and 35 years old and be able to prove their training and experience in tourism, either as a volunteer, as a tour guide or as an entertainer. In addition, they must have an intermediate level of English (B1).
In addition to the required documentation, interested persons must submit a letter of objectives in which they state the degree of commitment they have with the program and their qualities as a candidate. Optionally, they may also present an artistic creation (drawing, song, poem, story, legend, among others) of their own elaboration related to the theme of the Stars project.

A total of 22 young people from Spain, Solomon Islands and Indonesia will participate in the meeting. During the seven days that will last, all of them will debate, analyze and propose proposals on astrotourism, through workshops, exercises, dramatizations, simulations and outdoor activities with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of non-formal education and tourism. sustainable.
