The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands records six new cases and eleven in study of monkey pox since yesterday. Therefore, from the beginning of the declaration of the health alert there is 132 confirmed cases, of which 82 were detected in Gran Canaria45 in Tenerifefour in Fuerteventura and one in The Palm.
All active cases have mild symptoms and remain in home isolation with follow-up by Primary Care.
The confirmed and notified cases in the Canary Islands since the start of the alert are as follows:

132 confirmed cases, 82 in Gran Canaria, 45 in Tenerife, four in Fuerteventura and one in La Palma.

Thirteen probable cases, pending confirmation, five notified in Lanzarote, three in Tenerife, three in Fuerteventura, one in Gran Canaria and one in La Palma.
The protocol of the Ministry of Health classifies cases between probable and suspected depending on whether the patient meets clinical criteria and epidemiological criteria (probable cases) or if it only presents clinical criteria and in such case it is considered a suspected case.
