Ten lucky young people from the Island of Tenerife will be able to travel to Indonesia for free. Thus, the Cabildo de Tenerife has opened the deadline to select the ten participants who will attend, on behalf of Spain, an international meeting of cultural exchange and astrotourism organized on the island of Bali, in Indonesia, at the beginning of November.
Under the name of ‘Stars: Empowerment and Creation of New Job Opportunities’, this initiative is co-financed by the Erasmus + program of the European Commission and with it it is intended to support the professional development of workers in the field of tourism, details the Cabildo it’s a statement.
A total of 22 young people from Spain, Solomon Islands and Indonesia will participate in the meeting.
During the seven days that the initiative will last, they will debate, analyze and propose proposals on astrotourism, through workshops, exercises, dramatizations, simulations and outdoor activities with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of non-formal education and sustainable tourism. .
Requirements of the lucky ones who will be able to travel for free to Indonesia

The candidates selected by the Council of Tenerife they must reside on the island, be between 18 and 35 years old and be able to prove their training and experience in the tourism field, either as a volunteer, as a tour guide or as an entertainer. In addition, they must have an intermediate level of English (B1).
Apart from the required documentation, interested persons must submit a letter of objectives in which they state the degree of commitment they have with the program and their qualities as a candidate.
Optionally, they may also present an artistic creation (drawing, song, poem, story, legend, among others) of their own elaboration related to the theme of the Stars project.
The deadline to present the candidacy ends on August 23 through the Electronic headquarters of the Foundation for Training, Employment and Business Development (Fifede).
After that day, Fifede will publish a list of the people who have submitted the registration application and will give a period of three business days to correct any error or failure in the required documentation.
As a guarantee of participation in this project that allows free travel to the Asian country, the selected people must submit a deposit of 200 euros that will be returned to them once the training in Indonesia is finished.
