The ordinary General Meeting of the public company Santiago del Teide Management SL, a commercial company owned by the City Council, approved its accounts with a positive result of 88,286 euros. Its president and mayor of Santiago, Emilio Navarro, recalled that these figures are equivalent to “we are facing the second consecutive year in which these accounts are closed with a positive result.” In this scenario, the councilor concludes that the economic result “is a true reflection of the great work done in the public company with the support of the municipal administration.”
Emilio Navarro explains that the public company Santiago del Teide Management SL has carried out remarkable and constant work. Among the performances and actions carried out, the president refers to improvements in practically all of the main asset, the Pancracio Socas Sports Complex; as well as the start-up of the cafeteria of said municipal public area, which allows it to offer a complementary service that is highly demanded by the users of this sports facility. “All this, in times of pandemic, during which compliance with all Covid-19 protocols was carried out, with the safety of users being the highest priority in the provision of physical activity and health services,” he adds.
But the intervention plan at the Pancracio Socas Sports Complex remains in force. Some work is currently being carried out to continue with the improvement of the facilities, among which is the placement of LED lighting, the resurfacing of the parquet, the optimization of the security cameras, the acquisition of new bicycles for the practice of spinning, as well as machinery for fitness and cardio.
Navarro Castanedo thanked the staff for their involvement and congratulated the workers and managers of the company for their work in the sports complex and the municipal sports facilities.
Yeremi Curbelo, in charge of the Management department, points out that “it has been a complicated year with the pandemic, but these results are the product of the good work done and the effort of the City Council, administratively and economically, towards the company.” Curbelo announced that the task will continue the “line set by the president” and highlighted the role of the staff in achieving the established objectives.
