The City Council of the Villa de San Juan de la Rambla, through the Sports area, programs free activities for this summer for the elderly of the Villa with the aim of “promoting healthy living through leisure-sports activities that manage to maintain assets to our elders, with the consequent benefit for both physical and mental health”, according to Councilor Priscila Díaz.
Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Baray senior center in August, and at the Rambla Costa senior center in September, seniors can enjoy of strengthening and maintenance sports activities, various craft classes, games and playful workshops to train the mind and Latin dance classes. All this for free and under the umbrella of the eradication of a sedentary lifestyle and the acquisition of the habit of sport as an alternative to healthy leisure.
The mayor of the Villa, Ezequiel Domínguez, details, through a press release about the initiative, “how important it is for the local Administration that the elderly group can benefit from a program made to measure and following the requests that they themselves sent us through the centers set up for their enjoyment.
