SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Aug. 6 (EUROPA PRESS) –
An unidentified woman has died after being rescued from the sea at Playa del Castillo, in the municipality of Puerto de la Cruz, in Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The event occurred minutes before 11:30 a.m., when the 1-1-2 operating room received a call reporting that the lifeguards on the aforementioned beach were practicing resuscitation maneuvers on a woman they had rescued from the sea.
Once at the scene, the SUC staff verified that the affected woman remained in cardiorespiratory arrest and continued performing advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers without success, confirming her death.
The Local Police collaborated with the rest of the emergency resources and the National Police instructs the corresponding proceedings.
