Justin Quiles suspends for the second time the concert he offered on a beach in Tenerife

Justin Quiles caused a public safety problem by summoning the people of Tenerife yesterday afternoon to a spontaneous concert in the La Tejita beach (Passion fruit) after the suspension on Saturday in Yellow Golf Reggaeton Beach Festival in which he planned to act. American singer and songwriter of Puerto Rican origin caused a collapse on the highways from the south of the island by inviting the people of Tenerife to come to the impromptu performance. The lack of security had already motivated the Municipality of San Miguel de Abona will not authorize the reggaeton festival.

Traffic jam on the access roads to La Tejita beach during Justin Quiles’ impromptu concert | The province

J Quiles, as he is known, he barely sang three songs before the avalanche of people, mostly young people, who gathered to see and listen to it in La Tejita. His bodyguards decided it was better finish the recital as soon as possible to avoid problems and almost run away. The singer ended up asking in another subsequent message on the networks that no more people go to the Granadillera beach because the movement of the fans to participate in another perreo paradise from the announced time (half past seven) collapsed a good part of the roads in this area in the south of the island, including the TF-1 motorway.

So much so that the exits of Las Chafiras and San Isidro collapsed for more than an hour. The traffic, according to some of those present, suddenly became a real chaos. More than 30 minutes in the queue on average caused the anger of the drivers on a busy Sunday as befits the end of July. Some because they didn’t arrive on time for the seen and unseen acoustic of their idol, but others, most of them, because of that unexpected and annoying traffic jam.

Free concert on Instagram

The singer had launched on Saturday by Instagram a challenge: give a free concert on the Island after the cancellation of the Reggaeton Beach Festival. Specifically, he addressed the audience as follows: «My people from Tenerife, I have an idea. what if tomorrow [refiriéndose a ayer domingo] I choose a beach, I do a session and I sing my acoustic songs for all the fans totally free. What do they say? Yesterday he kept the suspense and only 45 minutes before he confirmed La Tejita as the stage and the start time. Quiles wanted to have a detail with his followers, but he ended up complicating their lives. The police even had to vacate the beach and its surroundings due to the number of people gathered when the reggaeton player and his entourage had long since left.

The reggaeton festival in San Miguel de Abona continues to bring queues. This is a consequence when it seemed that the waters had calmed down and only the resignation of the nearly 20,000 people who saw their desire to enjoy the music they are passionate about for twelve hours frustrated. But Justin Quiles arrived and ordered them to stop. Endorsed, or so he believed, by more than eight million followers on his social media profile, he dared to air a proposal that turned against him and led him to always rectify with social media as support: «Revive , do not come to the beach anymore because there are many people and a lot of traffic».

It was not his farewell to the Island because that night he sent one last message: «It was a very nice meeting, we will see you in the next one». She ended it with a phrase: «Tenerife, I love you».
