The Arona City Council will resume activities at the Los Cristianos Day Center for the elderly from August 1 after the Covid-19 pandemic that led to taking health security measures. Today opens the registration period for all interested.
The facility offers ten places for self-employed elderly people who can enjoy different services such as lunch and snacks; the care and attention to the user and their hygiene during the hours that they remain in the center; physiotherapy sessions if necessary and participation in all activities carried out. Among them music therapy, workshops, cognitive stimulation, weekly mass, parties, excursions, etc.
Registration must be carried out through an email sent to the email address [email protected] or with the direct delivery of the application in the residence itself. For more information, the bases can be consulted on the website www.arona.org
The mayor of Arona, José Julián Mena, values the reopening of the Day Center: “It means recovering a vital service for one of the sectors of our population that has suffered the most in the last two years due to the pandemic.”
Mena adds that “Arona has always taken special care of her elders with activities, excursions and revitalization initiatives, in addition to offering all possible social resources.”
