The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands communicates two new cases of monkeypox since yesterday no new ones have been registered under study. Therefore, from the beginning of the declaration of the health alert there is 100 confirmed casesof which 68 were detected in Gran Canaria, 30 in Tenerife and two in Fuerteventura.
All active cases have mild symptoms and remain in home isolation receiving follow-up by Primary Care.
Thus, the confirmed and notified cases in the Canary Islands since the beginning of the alert and until today are as follows:

100 confirmed cases, 68 in Gran Canaria, 30 in Tenerife and two in Fuerteventura.

A probable case, pending confirmation, notified in Fuerteventura.
The protocol of the Ministry of Health classifies cases between probable and suspected depending on whether the patient meets clinical criteria and epidemiological criteria (probable cases) or if it only presents clinical criteria and in such case it is considered a suspected case.
