SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, July 25. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The General Directorate of Security and Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands, based on the weather forecast, updates the situation and puts the islands of Gran Canaria, Tenerife, La Gomera and El Hierro on alert for maximum temperatures.
Temperatures can reach and even exceed 38ºC, especially in inland areas, midlands and high areas in the south of the islands and the metropolitan area of Tenerife, and could even extend to some points on the southeast coast of Gran Canaria.
The declaration of the alert will be in force until this Tuesday at 10:00.
For now, the islands of La Palma, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote remain in a pre-alert situation due to maximum temperatures.
