A 56-year-old man has been transferred to a hospital in critical condition after being recovered from a cardiorespiratory arrest on the Bollullo beach, in the Tenerife municipality of La Orotava.
The 1-1-2 emergency service reports that the event took place at 5:35 p.m. when the man, of German origin, collapsed on the shore of the beach.
Health personnel who were in the area began to perform basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers until the arrival of health resources.
Upon arrival at the scene, the SUC staff continued with advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers and managed to recover him and once stabilized, the affected person was evacuated in a medical helicopter to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands.
