Approximately 57 homes are being evacuated in the municipality of Los Realejos because the fire declared last Thursday, which already affects four municipalities, is entering the Valle de La Orotava through the Chanajiga area.
Specifically, the evacuation affects the Las Llanadas area, from the Chanajiga recreational area to the upper area of Las Llanadas (not the nucleus) and the Palo Blanco ravine. The evacuation affects about 50 homes, as reported by Cecoes 1-1-2.
Likewise, a preventive evacuation is being carried out in the La Florida area that affects seven other homes. The Las Llanadas Sports Center has been set up as a provisional meeting point for the relocation of the affected people.
The advance of the descending wind already forced last night to evict five people from three isolated houses in Pista Lolita, in Icod el Alto, in the municipality of Los Realejos. At the moment no more evacuations are planned, although a device is prepared in the area of El Andén, Icod el Alto, in case it is necessary.
