One more day we have to keep an eye on the evolution of the fires Y the one that worries the most is the one that affects the island of Tenerife and that in the last hours it has entered the valley of La Orotava. Already has devastated 2,000 hectares Y the extinction tasks are being very complicated. The flames already affect five towns and for this reason fifty houses have been evacuated in the last few hours to avoid damage. The evacuees have been transferred to a sports center, where food and water supplies are also arriving. The fire has entered the territory of the Teide National Park. There are seaplanes and helicopters working tirelessly to stop the advance of the flames that have already burned thousands of hectares. The heat, the mist, the haze and the wind are making the extinction work difficult, although the weather conditions are expected to soften.
