Before the media, the chief executive has also indicated that the fire is still active and that the perimeter of the fire has increased -now there are more than 500 hectares affected and a perimeter of 11 kilometers summit- although this, he has pointed out, “was the foreseeable ” during the night, in which more than one hundred ground personnel worked in the control and extinction of the fire. In addition, ten aerial means have been incorporated this Friday morning so that the “situation improves”, said Torres. At the moment, the fire has entered three municipalities: Los Realejos, San Juan de la Rambla and La Guancha, and mainly in public forests, although it has also affected private farms. He explained that work is being done fundamentally on two points, those that are of most concern, to prevent the fire from continuing to advance towards populated areas: the San Juan ravine due to the inaccessibility of the area by land means and the left flank of the fire.
