The vice-president of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Enrique Arriaga, has confirmed this Friday in a plenary commission that the corporation is going to spend 605,000 euros in the promotion of the Motor Circuit that is intended to be built in Granadilla with an investment of more than 51 million euros.

The nationalist counselor Verónica Meseguer has indicated that her group is going to request all official documentation given that in different media Arriaga spoke of 200,000 euros and the president, Pedro Martín, of about 300,000 euros. “We want to have all the official documentation and invoices for everything they are doing, including travel,” she said.
The nationalist counselor has also criticized that in Tuesday’s act “no news was presented” about the Circuit because they did not even “give any date for the start of the works.”
In his opinion, “it was an electoral act, to the point that the presenter -Antonio Lobato- told Pedro Martín to address his voters, they are using public money for self-promotion.”
Likewise, he recalled that the northern access works and the international homologations were put out to tender in the mandate of the government of CC “and for the moment they have not done anything else”.
Meseguer has also demanded that the monitoring table of the Motor Circuit be convened as agreed at the May Plenary.
“The first meeting was to be held on July 1, but it has not been called. Now we understand the non-compliance because it is seen that the PSOE and Ciudadanos do not want us to supervise what they are going to do with the Motor Circuit”, he highlighted.
All the political groups and the Automobile and Motorcycling federations and the Royal Automobile Club of Tenerife (RACT) are represented at the Motor Circuit monitoring table.
