ENRIQUE ARRIAGA: “THE ‘TENERIFE GG’ HAS BEEN A SUCCESS”
The Councilor for Innovation of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Enrique Arriaga, believes that “the first edition of the Tenerife GG has been a complete success, not only with the public, with a full venue during all the days of celebration and more than 15,000 visits throughout of the week, but also in terms of companies”.
“In the Auditorium they met great experts in the field of gaming and the EBLive Awards were also held, with more than 25,000 followers via streaming. Tenerife is a fantastic place for large multinationals that develop video games or for the creation of new companies to establish themselves. It is a very important employment niche for our young people,” explained Arriaga.
The director of Hiperdino’s Marketing and Communication department, Carlos García, acknowledged that “reality” exceeded his “expectations”. “During the six days of this event, I have been able to see first-hand the revolution in gaming and eSports, and the number of followers that this sector moves,” he said.
For his part, the person in charge of the Canarian eSports League, Hiperdino, Antonio Cabrera, defined the ‘Tenerife GG’ as “amazing”. “It is the result of very hard work, of many people who are enthusiastic about starting a project that goes beyond a social event,” he assured.
“It can contribute to boosting the economic and professional fabric of the islands, expanding the future possibilities for Canarians. Entire families have passed through here to have fun, professionals, companies and citizens with a desire to train. All this promoted by HiperDino, the Cabildo de Tenerife and the collaborating brands. For us it is the dream start of something that we hope will be very big”, concluded Cabrera.
