The Cabildo de Tenerife has declared an outbreak of forest fire in Sa José de Los Llanos, in the municipality of El Tanque. As confirmed by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center of the Government of the Canary Islands (CECOES 1-1-2) to the Canary Islands Now, the first alert about the fire was received around 1:55 p.m. this Friday.
As the Island Council points out, at the moment the Forestry Brigade, Tenerife Firefighters and a helicopter are in place to begin the extinction work.
At the moment the scope of this fire is not known, which is added to the one that was declared on Thursday in Los Realejos and that has spread to the municipalities of San Juan de La Rambla and La Guancha, with an area affected around 500 hectares.
