The Cabildo updates the data of the 26 accessible beaches of Tenerife

The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the Insular Society for the Promotion of Persons with Disabilities (Sinpromi) has made an online space available to the public with updated information on the 26 Beaches accessible areas of the island, in order to enable everyone to visit and enjoy them, with special attention to those with mobility difficulties.

The information, which has been contrasted with the town councils, also refers to the services offered by the different bathing areas and which can be consulted by entering the News section of the website www.sinpromi.es, through this link .

The third vice president and insular councilor for Social Action, Marián Franquet, highlights “the work on accessibility carried out by the Cabildo, through Sinpromi, contributing to a change in the conception of environments, products and services, to guarantee the exercise of the rights of people with disabilities and improve the quality of life of all people.

In this sense, the Sinpromi Accessibility area has compiled information about the conditions of the beaches and their services, among which are parking areas reserved for people with reduced mobility; ramps, walkways and rest areas; showers, toilets and changing rooms; amphibious chairs and crutches, as well as support services for bathing in the sea.

This informative document includes the state of accessibility of 26 beaches and coastal areas enabled for bathing, belonging to 15 municipalities on the island. These are the beaches of El Duque, Fañabé, Torviscas, and Troya, in Adeje; the Porís, in Arico; Los Cristianos and Las Vistas, in Arona; La Arena and Punta Larga, in Candelaria; the Pier, in Garachico; El Médano, in Granadilla; La Jaquita and Playa San Juan, in Guía de Isora; El Cabezo, in Güímar; San Marcos, in Icod; Garden Beach, in Puerto de la Cruz; the natural pools of La Punta and Bajamar, in La Laguna; La Arena and Los Guíos, in Santiago del Teide; Las Teresitas, in Santa Cruz; El Socorro, in Los Realejos; La Nea and Radazul, in El Rosario; and La Arena and natural pool of La Mesa del Mar, in Tacoronte.

In addition, the list that is published on the Sinpromi website has information on the days of the week and times when the bathroom support service is provided, as well as their contact telephone numbers.
