Metal companies in Tenerife are finding it difficult to find welding professionals, as reported on Tuesday by the Femete employers.
“We have detected that the lack of training and qualification is limiting the growth of our activities, harming productivity and competitiveness,” he says.
The metal entrepreneurs have reported that the Board of Directors of the Association of Metal Construction Industries of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Asicomte) has met the students of two certificates of professionalism that Femete (La Laguna) imparts due to the need to hire qualified personnel for their companies and, specifically, welding professionals.
These actions are aimed at unemployed workers and are subsidized by the Canary Islands Employment Service, the State Public Employment Service (SEPE) and the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training.
