The Andalusian offers in La Orotava the possibility of enjoying the flavors of Andalusian food, along with Canarian dishes, in a pleasant setting with spectacular views. Emilio Díaz and Carmen Luque, a couple who came from Jaén 27 years ago, are in charge of the establishment. They were delighted with the Island and its people and decided to open a cafeteria in Puerto de la Cruz.
Since then, they have changed their location on several occasions, settling down a couple of years ago at Calle Sabino Berthelot, 2, in La Orotava, moved by the possibilities offered by having a large terrace in the midst of a pandemic. “We realized that with the pandemic you either had a terrace or you closed. And we had the opportunity to open this cafeteria, which has a huge terrace with spectacular views. You are sitting and you are looking at Mount Teide, and beautiful gardens in front of it”, emphasizes Emilio Díaz.
From this environment you can enjoy, from Monday to Saturday from 07:00 to 22:00, an Andalusian-style breakfast with “its toasted bread, with crushed tomato and olive oil, garlic and good Serrano ham”, as well as sandwiches and fleas of all kinds.
And for lunch or dinner, it has a wide range of tapas, such as bravas potatoes, seven types of croquettes, padrón peppers, Cordovan salmorejo, Russian salad, olives or gourmet hamburgers. And to put the final sweet point, you can taste typical sweets from La Orotava.
In addition, as a good Andalusian establishment, the cañas are always accompanied by a small free snack. Andalusian flavors that are also combined with Canarian dishes, always betting on local and local products, as well as small businesses in the area. A familiar and close business, in which to enjoy some good tapas, while, for example, reviewing the last hour of information through the new app of DIARY OF NOTICES.
