The mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, José Manuel Bermúdez, chaired a meeting on Monday with the residents of the four plots of Añaza that will benefit from a rehabilitation project charged to European funds Next Generation. This project, with a budget of more than 12 million euros, aims not only to rehabilitate the four plots, as well as the common areas, but also to improve the accessibility and sustainability conditions of the buildings. An investment in which the neighbors will contribute less than 1,500 euros, and that, in case of not being able to face them, the IMAS has aid for it.
The mayor was accompanied by the councilors of Housing, District and Social Care, Juan José Martínez, Javier Rivero and Rosario González, as well as municipal technicians who responded to the residents with the main questions raised regarding the project, which is added to others already underway. .
The municipal officials indicated that the Consistory’s commitment has been to request the maximum possible help, which will mean an investment of 32,956 euros for each home, of which each family will contribute less than 1,500 euros.
The works included in the project, which must now be drafted, in consensus with the owners, have to do with improvements in water supply and sanitation networks, telecommunications, roofs and facades, common areas, and implementation of energy efficiency systems, such as insulation and photovoltaic electricity production.
