A man and a woman have been arrested as alleged perpetrators of the theft of 600 kilos of avocado from a farm in the municipality of Los Realejos, in the north of Tenerife.
The authors broke the perimeter fence of the land and fled in a vehicle when they were surprised by the owners of the farm, as reported by the National Police.
The agents managed to identify them and arrested them a few days later. Both had criminal records and have been charged with robbery with force.
The owners of the farm have denounced the alleged thieves not only for the theft, but also for the damage they have caused to the plantation, which hinders production for next year.
