The festivities begin tomorrow, Tuesday, July 19, with the official reception of the candidates for Queen of the Festivities at the Town Hall, where the exit draw will be held for the candidates, starting at 7:00 p.m. That same night, starting at 9:30 p.m., the film “Small Foot” will be screened at the Summer Cinema. On Wednesday, July 20, we will also enjoy the Summer Cinema with the screening of the film “Spiderman: Far from Home”.
On Thursday, July 21, the day begins with the little ones as protagonists, since, from 11:00 a.m. there will be a children’s play park in the square. This same day the beginning of the Triduum in Honor of the Apostle Santiago is celebrated, where, starting at 7:00 p.m., the Holy Mass will be celebrated, presided over by Don Anatael Medina, offered by the Parish of Santa Ana. place the Grand Gala for the Election of the Children’s Queen of the Festivities in honor of Santiago Apóstol, with the participation of the show “La casa del bosque” by Komba Producciones.
The celebrations continue on Friday, July 22, starting the day with the Children’s Magic show, by the magician David de La Torre, the creator of Dreams, starting at 11:00 at the Grama Cultural Center. Later, starting at 7:00 p.m., the celebration of the Santa isa will take place, presided over by Don Víctor Manuel Fernández, offered by the Parroquias del Espíritu Santo and Nuestra Señora del Carmen. That same night, the Grand Gala for the Election of the Great Lady of the Festivities will take place in honor of Santiago Apóstol, which will feature the humor of Jaime Marrero and the stellar performance of Azúcar Moreno. On Saturday, July 23, starting at 7:00 p.m., the Holy Mass will be celebrated, presided over by Don Víctor Manuel Fernández, offered by the Parishes of Our Lady of Candelaria and San Fernando Rey. Later, at 9:30 p.m., there will be the Grand Gala for the Election of the Adult Queen of the Festivities in Honor of Santiago Apóstol, with the participation of the Santiago del Teide School of Music, the humor of Kike Pérez and the stellar performance by Roko (Winner of the 2nd edition of the television phenomenon “Tu Cara Me Suena”). Presents the act Laura Afonso. And, afterwards, a great verbena by the orchestras “The Boys Machine” and “Arguayo Band”.
The Vespers of the Solemnity of the Apostle Santiago arrive, on Sunday, July 24. Starting at 10:00 a.m., it will be the Sunday celebration of the Holy Mass, presided over by Don Víctor Manuel Fernández. At 10:30 a.m. the pilgrims of the Camino de Santiago of the Jacobean Route of Tenerife will arrive. Starting at 11:00 am, at the Grama Cultural Center there will be a puppet show by the Baruti company. At 12:00 noon, celebration of the Holy Mass presided over by the Pastor Victor Manuel Fernández and blessing of the Pilgrims, sung by the group “Mesturao”.
At 1:00 p.m., Sunday celebration of the Holy Mass, presided over by Don Daniel Padilla Piñero. Later, at 7:00 p.m., there will be the second “Susana Torres” Bell Concert. And, to end the day, at 9:00 p.m. the celebration of the Solemnity of the Apostle Santiago will take place, presided over by Don Alberto Hernández, parish priest of La Laguna, Todoque and Las Manchas, on the island of La Palma, and sung by the San Buenaventura Choir. The festivities end with the celebration of the Solemnity of the Apostle Santiago. On Monday, July 25, at 11:30 am, the Municipal Banner will depart from the Town Hall, accompanied by the municipal authorities, the military, the Children’s Queen, the Adult Queen and the Municipal Band of Santiago del Teide. At 12:00 p.m. the Solemnity of the Apostle Santiago will be celebrated, presided over by the Hon. and Rt. Mr. Bernardo Álvarez Afonso, where he will impart the Apostolic Blessing with Plenary Indulgence. Then, procession along the usual route, accompanied by the Municipal Band of Santiago del Teide, municipal authorities, civil, military and faithful. At 5:00 p.m., there will be an offering of food, poetry, couplets and songs. At 7:00 p.m., celebration of the Solemnity of the Apostle Santiago, presided over by the Rvdmo. Mr. Agalac Alonso Siverio, parish priest of Our Lady of Campo and Santa Úrsula Mártir, in Adeje and Episcopal Vicar of the South of Tenerife. Celebration that will be broadcast live on Radio Maria throughout Spain, and internationally on social networks.
At 8:00 p.m., there will be the reading of the minutes and award ceremony of the XXXVI Edition of the “Rincones de Santiago 2022” Photography and Painting Contest and the VI edition of the “Líricas de Santiago” contest.
