The morning cloudy skies in the north of the islands, the haze in height in the eastern up to 34º C in the middle of Gran Canaria facing south and north wind with strong or very strong streaks in the archipelago as a whole will predominate this Monday in Canary Islandsaccording to Aemet. Gusts could reach between 71 and 120 kilometers per hour, thus meeting the Aemet wind scale.
The wind will blow from the north component in the eastern islands and from the northeast in the western ones, with strong intervals in areas usually exposed to the trade windsespecially during the second half of the day.
On central peaks of Tenerife, strong southwest wind, turning south and subsiding from noon. Very strong gusts of wind are not ruled out, especially in Gran Canaria and La Gomeramore likely and frequent during the second half of the day, in the interior of the southern half of Lanzarote; south of Jandia (Fuerteventura); western end and southeastern slope of Gran Canaria; extreme west, southeast slope, and south of the metropolitan area, as well as in central summits, where they will be more likely during the first half of the day of Tenerife; extreme west and east of La Gomera; southeastern ends of The Palm; and extreme west and east slope of The iron.
The temperatures, generally unchanged, will experience slight increases in the south of the central islands. They may be reached or exceeded locally: 32 – 34 ºC in the midlands to the south of Gran Canaria; 30 – 32 ºC in inland areas to the south of Fuerteventura and Tenerife; 30 ºC in the south of the metropolitan area of Tenerife and interior south of Lanzarote.
