The Municipality of Buenavista del Norte recently incorporated two new local police officers after concluding the opposition process. In that same act, medals were awarded for 20 years of service to Armando J. Herrera Martin Y Jorge D. Gonzalez Romeroand diplomas of recognition of their professionalism to the Chief Deputy Inspector and the retired officer, Conrado M. Dorta González and Antonio M. Suárez Díaz.
The mayor of Buenavista del Norte, Antonio Gonzalez Fortes (SSP)values having concluded this “long process of incorporation” and adds that “we have been constant throughout the mandate and, finally, after the precarious situation in which we found the body, During these three years we have taken steps in the right direction. This act endorses the conscientious work carried out”.
One of the most anticipated moments of the event took place with the delivery of the Diplomas of Recognition of their professionalism to the retired Chief Deputy Inspector and officer, an official recognition of the work carried out and the experience accumulated during their years of service granted by the General Directorate of Security and Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands.
The distinctive cross was also delivered for 20 years of service as established by the order of March 19, 2015, which creates and regulates the official badges of permanence in active service in the Local Police Corps of Canary to Armando J. Herrera Martin and Jorge D. Gonzalez Romero.
The selection process of the new agents, carried out by the free access shift and through the opposition system, began early 2020 to strengthen and restructure the local police force that had been diminished by the retirements in the previous four years of three of its members.
The public employment offer was approved in January 2020 and included the creation of two officer positions, a new police officer position to be filled through a transfer competition and two new police officer positions to be filled through open opposition. Both the first officer and the transfer concourse agent took possession in July 2021.
