SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, July 14. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Governing Council has been informed this Thursday of the granting of fifteen subsidies for a total value of 1,378,771.06 euros, during the first quarter of 2022, for fifteen Family Meeting Point (PEF) programs that are developed in the islands .
These aids are based on their public interest or their social interest in the protection of minors, by favoring, in both cases, the better functioning of the Administration of Justice, the protection of vulnerable people, as well as the special qualification and extensive experience of the beneficiary.
In the first case, the grants have been awarded to the Fundación Canaria Centro de Asistencia a la Familia de Tenerife, for various programs implemented in Fuerteventura (94,561.86 euros), Santa Cruz de Tenerife (166,139.30 euros) and Tenerife Norte ( €55,628.87); to the Canarian Association for Family, Educational and Psychosocial Intervention and Mediation ‘+Familia’, also for several programs developed in Lanzarote (122,895.21 euros), one of them to implement the gender perspective (66,315.99 euros), and Gran Canaria (146,366.08 euros), specific to gender-based violence, and to the Domitila Hernández Association from Tacoronte for Equal Opportunities, for its ‘PEF Familias Domitila’ program in the south of Tenerife (170,172.93 euros) and for its program ‘PEF Viogensur Resilient Looks’ (65,000 euros).
Due to its social interest in the protection of minors, aid has been granted to the Fundación Canaria Centro de Asistencia a la Familia de Tenerife, for its program ‘PEF La Fortaleza: Overcoming Machista Violence’ in Tenerife North (57,096.36 euros), Santa Cruz de Tenerife (99,825.75 euros) and Fuerteventura (30,077.89 euros); and to the Spanish Red Cross, for its PEF program in La Palma (64,410.93 euros), La Gomera (47,673.23 euros), El Hierro (61,305.28 euros) and San Bata Lucía de Tirajana (131,301.38 euros).
