The coastal towns of Radazul, Bocacangrejo and Varadero, in the municipality of El Rosario, are finalizing their preparations to celebrate the festivities of Nuestra Señora del Carmen. As in previous editions, the town of Bocacangrejo will kick off the festivity of Carmen today with an open-air movie session (9:30 p.m.).

The bulk of the events, as is traditional, will take place in the morning, Saturday and Sunday. In Varadero, tomorrow Friday (7:00 p.m.) there will be a Eucharist sung by the Friends of La Esperanza Folk Group. Also tomorrow, in Bocacangrejo (7:00 p.m.), there will be a live radio program with Rumberos FM and, starting at 9:00 p.m., there will be a musical show by Grupo Jeita and a later festival enlivened by the orchestra The ideals. On Saturday, the day of the Virgen del Carmen, in Bocacangrejo (6:00 p.m.) a Eucharist will be celebrated, and from 8:00 p.m., the procession and subsequent low-noise pyrotechnic display will take place. Starting at 10:00 p.m., a festival will be held, enlivened by the orchestras Los Ideales and Grupo 4.

During that same day, in Varadero (7:00 p.m.) there will be an afternoon festival with the Revelation of Barranco Hondo and a low-noise pyrotechnic display (9:30 p.m.). In Radazul Bajo, the Shopping Center will host the initiative to revitalize the TRT business fabric, between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., which will be repeated on Sunday, and in the chapel of San Pablo, the traditional mass will be held in honor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Finally, on Sunday (11:00 a.m.) activities for children will be held in Bocacangrejo and Varadero.
