SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, July 14. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Education and Youth area of the Cabildo de Tenerife has organized an extensive program of activities to celebrate the ‘International and European Youth Day’ on August 12.
Thus, from 6:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., the Tenerife Auditorium will develop different proposals that make it possible to make visible and promote the talent and entrepreneurship of the new generations.
The insular councilor for Education and Youth, Concepción Rivero, indicated at a press conference that “an ambitious program has been prepared for that day in which dialogue tables, concerts, and Freestyle exhibitions will be combined with the development of the ‘Pechakucha’ project that promotes the development of entrepreneurship and young talent”.
In this ‘Pechakucha’, he continued, “there are emerging talents of artists, creators, musicians, designers, technologist entrepreneurs, and influencers, all those initiatives that are growing and that is why they are linked to innovation from all points of view. “.
The First Vice President and Minister of Culture and Innovation. Enrique Arriaga stressed that young people “come first, they are the future of the island and if they are not sufficiently trained, they will not be able to respond to all those needs that arise in the future.”
For this reason, he pointed out, “we have put all our focus on empowering our young people and ensuring that they are as well trained as possible, that there is talent available on our island for all those companies that want to set up here.”
Arriaga also stressed that the Cabildo has “a clear vision of the future, generating and attracting wealth in other sectors.”
“For us it is essential that all those companies that want to establish themselves on our island have the necessary talent here to carry out their work. And for this reason, we have focused on many activities, and also in a transversal way, to ensure that our young people are as best prepared as possible, from very small to very large,” he said.
Behind the work tables there will be music by Oretnac and Edey, Endyel and Mascareño Dj set, a youth information stand and gastronomic tasting through foodtrucks.
